Cross-border ID matching for the Nordic-Baltic Region
NOBID ID matching utilises the eIDAS framework to verify the match between a user’s home country identity and any other identity they might have abroad. This gives users safe and effective access to digital services abroad, as well as helping service providers recognise returning users. ID matching is essential for the secure and efficient use of digital identity across borders.

is to enable seamless access to public services for people living, working, or studying abroad

Project Organization
The project is carried out by the regular NOBID participants, along with representatives from national population registries and other government agencies. It is coordinated by the NOBID Project Management Office, with Kantega AS engaged to develop the prototype and carry out testing.
